Job Description:
About the Role Prospero Teaching are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bebington, Wirral, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, ensuring every child can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
* Implement and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
* Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
* Assist with the development and review of EHCP targets
* Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or care setting)
* A calm, patient and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
