What you will do:
*Undertake Child and Family Assessments within statutory timescales
*Manage cases involving safeguarding and child protection concerns
*Identify risk, analyse complex information, and make sound safeguarding decisions
*Carry out statutory visits and direct work with children and families
*Progress cases to CIN, Child Protection, or legal planning as required
*Prepare clear, analytical, and high-quality reports and case records
*Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children
Person specification:
Qualifications:
*Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Registration and compliance:
*Registered with Social Work England
*Enhanced DBS
*Right to work in the UK
Key skills:
*Strong assessment and safeguarding practice skills
*Confident risk analysis and decision-making abilities
*Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Experience:
*Recent experience within Assessment & Safeguarding or Front Door teams
*Experience working with child protection thresholds
*Proven multi-agency working experience
*Local authority experience is essential
*Locum experience is desirable
