About the Role -
We are supporting a well-established organisation in Northamptonshire who are seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join their finance and procurement function.
This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional with strong public sector experience to lead on strategic procurement activity, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive value-for-money outcomes across the organisation.
You will play a key role in shaping procurement approaches, managing supplier relationships, and guiding colleagues on best practice and compliance.
Key Responsibilities -
Manage end-to-end procurement activity in line with internal policies and public sector regulations (including PCR 2023)
Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver value, efficiency, and sustainability
Lead supplier relationship management and contract negotiations
Monitor procurement performance and identify opportunities for cost savings
Maintain accurate contract records and manage the contracts database
Provide guidance, training, and support on procurement processes to internal stakeholders
About You -
To be successful in this role, you will have:
CIPS Level 5–6 (or working towards)
Strong experience in public sector procurement, including tenders, frameworks, and compliance with PCR regulations
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data tools
Confident communicator, able to advise, influence, and support non-specialist stakeholders
Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise effectively
Experience managing contracts databases and overseeing procurement systems
