About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Commercial Procurement Business Partner to join our Procurement team.
In this influential role, you will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organisation - leading end-to-end procurement activity, shaping commercial strategy, and ensuring best value and full compliance with public procurement regulations in a Business Partner approach.
You will play a key role in delivering fair, transparent and commercially sound outcomes across a diverse range of categories and projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Providing expert procurement, commercial and contract advice to internal stakeholders
*Managing the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from pre-market engagement through to tendering, evaluation and contract award.
*The is a role where you will be working on a variety of tenders/contracts across the whole indirect suite of categories for the organisation in a generalist approach.
*Ensuring all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, including PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
*Drafting procurement documentation, evaluation materials and contractual schedules
*Leading supplier engagement, negotiations and proof-of-concept activities for complex, high-value procurements
*Advising on contract law and supporting the resolution of commercial disputes or claims
*Acting as a strategic Business Partner, helping teams plan for both short- and long-term needs
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
*Strong understanding of Managing Public Money, PCR 2015, the Procurement Act 2023, and wider public sector governance
*Significant experience operating as a Procurement Business Partner or similar advisory role
*Demonstrated ability to build strong, productive relationships with internal stakeholders
*Expertise in managing complex procurements and competitive processes
*Solid knowledge of contract law and commercial principles
*Experience working within the public sector or another regulated environment
