Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk will;
*Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to the appropriate accounts.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
*Assist with payment runs and ensure payments are made on time.
*Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
*Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding payment queries.
*Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
*Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the Accounts Payable function.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
*Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar role within the retail industry.
*Proficiency in accounting software and strong numerical skills.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
*Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
*A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
