Join a high volume, busy payroll function within a growing Sales business. This is a hybrid opportunity and an opportunity to take on a few payroll administrators underneath.

Description
Payroll Team LeadPayroll Leadership
*Lead and manage the complete processing of multiple monthly payrolls for the UK and Ireland.
*Oversee preparation, validation, and approval of payroll data to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
*Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external bodies regarding payroll matters.
*Provide guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders on payroll queries, policies, and procedures.
Operational Payroll Delivery
*Manage all employee lifecycle payroll activities including starters, leavers, contractual changes, absences, and updates to work patterns.
*Process variable pay elements, overtime, bonus payments, and backdated adjustments.
*Calculate statutory payments such as parental leave, sickness, and other statutory entitlements.
*Ensure correct tax processing, benefit reporting, and payroll deductions.
Benefits & Compliance
*Administer company benefits including healthcare schemes, protection benefits, vehicle benefits, and pension processes.
*Monitor and process holiday pay, accruals, and private mileage deductions.
*Liaise with benefit providers, validate data, and approve supplier invoices.
*Ensure continued compliance with UK and Irish payroll legislation, including communication with relevant authorities.
Audit, Reporting & Controls
*Lead annual and periodic internal and external payroll audits, ensuring data accuracy and strong controls.
*Produce regular payroll, finance, demographic, and benefits-related reports for internal stakeholders.
*Collate year-end information including director remuneration and statutory submissions.
Process Improvement & Projects
*Drive improvements to payroll processes and implement efficiency initiatives.
*Support transitions to new payroll solutions and manage stakeholder coordination.
*Successfully delivered a time-critical payroll implementation that resulted in significant financial savings for the organisation.
Profile
A successful Payroll Team Lead should have:
*Proven experience in payroll management
*Full end to end UK payroll exposure
*Multi frequency exposure - Monthly, weekly etc.
*Manual calculation exposure
*Happy to commute to Milton Keynes - 3 days per week
