Job Description:
Part-Time Bookkeeper – Hemel Hempstead – c40,000 FTE
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper who takes pride in accuracy and getting things right first time? Do you enjoy working independently and bringing structure and control to a growing business?
Our client is a well-established, design-led SME operating within the high-end residential sector. With a strong reputation built on quality and attention to detail, they are now looking to appoint a meticulous and self-sufficient Part-Time Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day finance processes.
Reporting directly to the business owner, you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping function using Xero. The role will involve overseeing bank reconciliations, processing supplier payments, raising and issuing sales invoices, posting receipts, and ensuring transactions are accurately coded. You will also support cashflow monitoring and maintain clean, organised and reliable financial records. A key part of the remit will be improving accuracy and reducing posting errors, ensuring the accounts are right first time and minimising the need for corrections.
The successful candidate will have proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within an SME environment, and be confident using Xero. You will be highly organised, methodical and detail-oriented, with a natural sense of ownership over your work. This role would suit someone who is self-motivated, able to manage their own workload and who genuinely cares about maintaining high standards.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity within a stable and reputable local business where your attention to detail and ability to work independently will have a rweal and visible impact.
