Accounts Assistant
Pinpoint Resourcing are working with a fantastic financial services company based in York who are actively seeking a dynamic Accounts Assistant to work alongside senior finance professionals.


Duties:
*Contribute to financial planning activities by preparing data, supporting analysis, and monitoring business performance.
*Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end processes, maintaining robust financial controls.
*Maintain accurate financial records through journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Work closely with HR and an outsourced payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
*Support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
*Take ownership of core payroll activities
*Liaise with auditors and assist with compliance requirements.
*Provide reliable support across transactional finance processes and wider reconciliations.
*Act as a professional and approachable contact for employee payroll queries, handling matters with discretion.
*Provide day-to-day guidance and support to a finance apprentice.


Skills/Experience:
*Payroll/Accounting experience
* AAT preferred
*Strong Excel skills
*Excellent organisational skills
*Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach


Salary: £27000-£30000 D.O.E
