Job Description:
Finance Administrator
Pinpoint Resourcing are working with a fantastic financial services company based in York who are actively seeking a dynamic Finance Administrator to work alongside senior finance professionals.
Core Responsibilities
(Approximately 75% finance and administration / 25% facilities support)
Finance and Administrative Duties
*Produce sales invoices and authorised credit notes in accordance with company policies
*Complete daily bank reconciliations and income checks, investigating and escalating any inconsistencies
*Maintain petty cash records with appropriate oversight and documentation
*Follow up outstanding customer balances professionally to assist with cash flow management
*Prepare and process direct debit collections in line with approved procedures
*Post journals and assist with routine reporting requirements
*Maintain clear and accessible records to support both internal reviews and external audits
*Use Excel to compile financial data, schedules, and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
*Contribute to refining and strengthening financial processes and internal controls
*Welcome clients and visitors, ensuring a professional and positive first impression
*Handle incoming calls via the switchboard efficiently and courteously
*Arrange and prepare meeting rooms to an appropriate standard for client appointments
*Act as the main contact for facilities-related queries and day-to-day building matters
*Coordinate with contractors, managing agents, and service providers as required
*Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring sensitive documents are handled securely
*Manage printing, scanning, and secure document storage
*Monitor office supplies and provide general administrative support
*Assist with ad hoc operational tasks to help maintain continuity of service
Compliance & Governance Responsibilities
*Adhere strictly to internal procedures, controls, and documented policies
*Handle confidential financial and client information with discretion at all times
*Ensure records are complete, accurate, and maintained in line with regulatory obligations
*Raise concerns, discrepancies, or errors promptly through the appropriate channels
*Work within defined responsibilities to maintain effective segregation of duties
