Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Warranty Claim Inspector on behalf of our valued client. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and confidence in handling complex warranty investigations. As the appointed Warranty Claim Inspector, you will play a vital role within the After Sales Service Department, supporting the wider team and ensuring the smooth, accurate processing of all warranty-related activity.
About the Role• Manage and process warranty claims, reviewing each claim on its merit and assessing technical validity and financial impact
• Oversee warranty submissions from subsidiaries, group customers, suppliers, and manufacturers
• Maintain accurate warranty records and manage workflows within SAP
• Prepare supplier claims and technical rejection reports within required timeframes
• Investigate and escalate product-related technical issues to the Aftersales Service Team Manager
• Communicate confidently with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, including the creation of detailed technical reports
• Build strong working relationships with Purchasing, Sales, Product Management, Product Research and Quality Management
• Keep technical teams informed on current warranty trends and issues
• Participate in product testing, evaluation activities, and on-site visits to suppliers or customers when required
• Ensure all work complies with ISO 9001:2015, health & safety, and continuous improvement standards
About You• Automotive warranty experience, with knowledge of industry processes and best practice
• Proven hands-on mechanical background, with strong understanding of vehicle systems and automotive components
• Minimum one year’s workshop experience
• NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent automotive qualification)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Able to work independently, manage workload under pressure, and maintain a customer-focused approach
