Job Description:
Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Yard Operations Manager to join our friendly and proactive Client in Chelmsford.
Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Permanent, Full-time position:
Hours: 8am – 5pm

Your responsibilities include:
*Oversee the end-to-end flow of a busy technical yard, ensuring high throughput without compromising quality or safety.
*Lead the expert loading, securing, and lashing of Out of Gauge cargo, utilising specialist equipment and custom casing solutions.
*Full P&L responsibility for yard operations, including budget management, cost control, and resource allocation.
*Mentor and manage a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
*Act as the primary lead for site safety, ensuring strict adherence to Working at Height regulations and heavy lifting protocols.
*Implement and maintain robust systems to track inventory, throughput, and operational KPIs.
You will need:
*Confident and outgoing individual.
*Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
*Ability to identify, assess and mitigate operational and safety risk to prevent incidents and minimise disruptions.
*Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
*Able to communicate in a clear, concise, and logical manner both verbally and written.
*Comfortable working in a fast paced, high-pressure environment where technical accuracy is non-negotiable.
*Good time management skills.
*Driver with own transport is desirable.
*UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
