THE POST – IT Desktop Analyst


The IT Desktop Analyst will provide responsive and professional 1st and 2nd line technical support to students and staff across the University, covering a wide range of IT and digital media services. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues in line with service level agreements, support staff devices and computer labs, troubleshoot software, hardware, printers and infrastructure queries, and provide AV and event support where required. The role also involves installing and maintaining IT equipment, including specialist hardware and software used in teaching and research environments.


The successful candidate should have the following:


*HND level or equivalent or have both relevant and practical work experience.
*Customer service focused.
*General understanding of IT and AV technologies working within a teaching environment.
*Proficient skills relating to Windows, M365 apps and Mac OS.
*Experience using phone, email, instant messaging to support customers.
*Previous experience in use of incident management systems and ticket resolution.
*An awareness of the legislative framework which surrounds IT. They will be aware of and act upon the Health and Safety policy to ensure that equipment is delivered and maintained in a proper manner.
*Evidence of continuous professional development.
