Job Description:
We are recruiting an ambitious Contracts Manager to oversee projects across the South East, taking full accountability for performance, programme and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
*Take full ownership of projects from pre-start to final account
*Manage 1–3 schemes concurrently, depending on scale
*Deliver projects safely, on time and within agreed margins
*Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors
*Develop and control construction programmes
*Monitor critical path and implement recovery strategies
*Manage works within live and occupied environments
*Coordinate design, procurement and delivery activities
*Manage JCT
*Identify and control variations
*Oversee cost performance and protect margin
*Support CVR reporting and financial tracking
*Contribute to final account agreement
*Chair and attend client and consultant meetings
*Maintain strong stakeholder communication
*Ensure CDM compliance and uphold health & safety standards
*Drive quality control and close out defects efficiently
Candidate Profile
*Background within main contracting
*Experience delivering £1m–£10m+ projects
*Exposure to healthcare, education or commercial sectors
*Strong commercial awareness
*Decisive and confident working independently
*Proactive, accountable and calm under pressure
