Job Description:
Reed Further Education are supporting a college in Cambridge who are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Hairdressing Lecturer/Assessor to join their team on a temporary, ongoing basis.
Location: Cambridge
Type: Full-time, Temporary (ongoing)
Pay: £25-£30 per hour
Start: ASAP
DBS: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential
The Role
You’ll deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of Hairdressing programmes. This includes preparing engaging Schemes of Work, supporting learners through tutorials, contributing to course development, and ensuring all teaching meets awarding body requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver inspiring and inclusive teaching across multiple Hairdressing courses
*Provide assessment opportunities and support learner achievement
*Prepare and maintain teaching and assessment resources
*Track learner progress and complete necessary programme administration
*Support students through tutorials and progress reviews
*Assist in student recruitment and attend promotional events
*Maintain strong industry links and stay up to date within the sector
*Uphold safeguarding, equality, health, and safety standards
What We’re Looking For
*Level 3+ Hairdressing qualification
*Assessor qualification
*Experience teaching Hairdressing in Further Education
*Strong industry knowledge and the ability to motivate and inspire learners
*Teaching qualification desirable but not essential
*Commitment to safeguarding and equality & diversity
*Flexibility to work across more than one campus if needed
