Role overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker - LAC Team based in Romford. In this role, you will play a vital part in improving outcomes for children and young people in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met through high-quality statutory social work practice.

What you will do*Manage a caseload of looked after children, ensuring statutory responsibilities are fulfilled in line with legislation and guidance.
*Undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning, and permanency planning.
*Work closely with children, young people, carers, and families to promote positive outcomes.
*Participate in statutory reviews, court work, and multi-agency meetings.
*Provide risk assessments and implement safeguarding measures where required.
*Contribute to service improvement and uphold high standards of professional practice.
Requirements*Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
*Significant post-qualifying experience within Children’s Services, particularly Looked After Children.
*Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding frameworks.
*Ability to manage complex caseloads and court proceedings confidently.
*Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
