Assistant Manager (Bar & Kitchen) – Live-In
The Talbot
The Talbot in Droitwich is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team.
This is a fantastic live-in opportunity offering a combined package (salary + accommodation) worth over £35,000 per year.
The Talbot is one of four pubs operated by Craddock’s Brewery, an independent brewery known for quality ales, proper pubs, and strong community values.
The Role
This is a practical, working management role. You will be actively involved in both bar service and kitchen operations, supporting the day-to-day running of the pub alongside the management team.
We’re looking for someone who leads from the front and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing and leading shifts
*Working behind the bar and maintaining high service standards
*Supporting and working within the kitchen
*Stock control and ordering
*Staff supervision and training
*Ensuring compliance with licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety regulations
*Maintaining excellent customer service standards
*Supporting events and driving sales
What We’re Looking For
*Experience in hospitality at supervisory or management level
*Confidence working both bar and kitchen roles
*Strong leadership and communication skills
*Personal Licence (preferred but not essential)
*Food hygiene knowledge
*Reliable, hardworking and community-minded
