Job Description:
Account Manager / Recruitment Consultant
Cerco — IT Training & Recruitment
Are you an experienced recruiter or account manager looking for a role where you can hit the ground running, own your accounts, and make a real impact from day one? Cerco is expanding, and we’re looking for a driven, people-focused professional to join our fast-paced Projects & Recruitment Team.
Cerco is a long-established technical training and recruitment company specialising in the UK IT sector. We supply permanent and temporary IT specialists to many of the country’s best-known IT managed service providers. You’ll join a close-knit, supportive team that values proactivity, creativity and delivering outstanding service to both clients and engineers.

About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of managing and growing key client accounts, ensuring smooth delivery of recruitment and project requirements. This is a hands-on role where you will balance relationship management, candidate coordination, and operational execution — all at pace.
You will be expected to step in with existing experience, work proactively, and quickly become the go-to contact for your clients.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and grow a portfolio of client accounts, acting as their primary point of contact.
*Source, select, and schedule engineers for project and contract assignments, ensuring availability, capability, and suitability.
*Ensure engineers receive all required information (location, dates, timescales, pay rates, project details).
*Develop strong relationships with employment partners and clients to create repeat business and long-term partnerships.
*Monitor project workflows, anticipate issues, and resolve challenges before they impact delivery.
*Provide accurate weekly updates to payroll regarding shifts worked and scheduled activity.
*Handle incoming calls and emails professionally, responding promptly and keeping communication clear at all times.
*Support ongoing recruitment for our in-house training programs and external client requirements.
*Maintain high standards of data accuracy across systems, schedules, and documentation.

About You
We’re looking for someone who can step in and take ownership quickly. You’ll thrive in a fast-moving role and enjoy juggling multiple priorities while maintaining excellent communication.
You will have:
*Previous experience in recruitment, account management, or project coordination (ideally within IT, technical services, or staffing).
*Strong relationship-building skills with both clients and candidates.
*Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to balance competing priorities.
*Confidence working at speed and making decisions independently.
*Strong Office 365 and general administrative skills.
*A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine passion for excellent service delivery.

Role Details
*Full-time, permanent
*Hours: Mon–Thurs 09:00–17:15, Fri 09:00–14:00
*Location: Free on-site parking
*Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays (rising to 25 after 5 years)
*Interview process: Two stage
