Hamilton Jones is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk on a 6-month fixed term contract, starting in April.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong purchase ledger professional who can hit the ground running in a busy finance function.
The Role
You will support the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, while maintaining strong financial controls.
Key duties will include:
*Raising purchase orders in Sage
*Processing high volumes of invoices (manual and Excel upload)
*Managing supplier accounts and resolving queries
*Reconciling supplier statements
*Supporting month-end processes
*Managing credit card expenditure and reconciliations
*Running weekly payment runs
*Maintaining expenditure and grant tracking spreadsheets
*Supporting year-end requirements
This role will suit someone confident working to deadlines in a structured finance environment.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
*Previous Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience
*Working knowledge of Sage 200 (or similar system)
*Strong Excel skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*The ability to manage high-volume processing
*Strong communication skills when dealing with internal stakeholders
