Salary: £24,570 per annum
Working Hours: 34 hours per week across 5 days
Location: Bermondsey, SE16
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our small, friendly, and professional team. Our nursery cares for up to 20 children aged 2–5 years, and we are seeking someone who is fun, energetic, and passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
Ideal Candidate:
*Minimum Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
*At least 2 years’ experience working with children aged in a nursery setting
*Ability to lead by example and model best practice
*Confidence in supporting and mentoring junior staff
*Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to use initiative
*Excellent understanding of the EYFS and experience in planning and monitoring children’s learning and development
*A positive, team-focused attitude with a genuine love for working with children
Your Responsibilities:
*Supporting the Room Leader in leading the nursery team to provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
*Planning and delivering activities that support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
*Leading by example and modelling outstanding practice in learning, behaviour management and care
*Acting as Key Person, maintaining accurate learning and development records
*Ensuring the environment is safe, welcoming, and meets all health and safety requirements
