Job Description:
We are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an experienced HR Advisor to join their established HR team based at their Head Office in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional to provide comprehensive advice and support across the full employee lifecycle within a fast-paced operational environment.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will work closely with managers and employees, offering practical and commercially focused guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters. You will play a key role in ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with current employment legislation, while supporting wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide professional advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases
*Support managers in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures
*Monitor and manage absence levels, including analysis of trends and utilisation of absence management tools such as the Bradford Factor
*Conduct exit interviews and provide insight through analysis of feedback
*Maintain accurate HR records and complete general HR administration
*Assist with Health & Safety administration and documentation
*Respond to employment reference requests and ad hoc information enquiries
*Produce regular HR reports (daily, weekly and monthly) as well as additional management information as required
*Ensure compliance with current employment legislation and best practice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*Previous experience in a HR Advisory role or similar
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
*Experience handling employee relations cases end-to-end
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
*Strong analytical skills with experience producing HR reports and interpreting data
*A confident and professional communication style, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
*Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
