Role: Workshop Controller
Location: Southport
Salary: £40,000 Basic | OTE £46,000+ (Uncapped Bonus)
Richard Abson Group are proud to be working with a well-established main dealership in Southport to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised automotive professional to take control of a busy, high-performing workshop and play a key role in its continued success.
The Role
As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of a workshop consisting of 11 Technicians and supporting 3 Service Advisors. You will ensure smooth workflow, maximum efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities will include:
*Managing and allocating daily workloads to 11 Technicians
*Supporting Service Advisors in managing customer expectations
*Ensuring all servicing and repair work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
*Monitoring productivity and workshop performance
*Accurately recording Technician time
*Writing clear technical reports and recommendations
*Maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction levels
The Package
*£40,000 Basic Salary
*£6,000+ Uncapped Bonus (Realistic OTE £46,000+)
*Monday–Friday 8:00am–6:00pm
*1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm)
The Ideal Candidate
*Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Workshop Supervisor within a main dealership
*Strong leadership and organisational skills
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Excellent communication skills
*Driven to maximise efficiency and profitability
