Our client, a key player in the nuclear sector, is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity will have you fully site-based and focusing on construction-side activities, ensuring the smooth and compliant execution of electrical installation works.
Key Responsibilities: *Overseeing electrical installation works
*Managing subcontractors and technicians
*Reviewing and approving electrical documentation
*Supporting commissioning teams
*Ensuring compliance with nuclear site standards
*Managing electrical work packs
*Coordinating with mechanical, civils, QA, and PMO teams
*Ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
Job Requirements: *Experience in the electrical discipline (not mechanical)
*Experience working as a project engineer on the construction side (not design office)
*100% site-based role
*Capable of working under CIS or Umbrella
*Security Clearance (SC) minimum, must be DV-capable
*NVQ Level 4 and a Gold Card are ideal qualifications
*Experience supporting construction packages
*Proficiency in documentation (RAMS, ITPs, redlines, as-builts, LQRs, permits)
Suitable Backgrounds: *Electrical Technicians who have progressed to NVQ Level 4 / HNC / HND
*Electrical Commissioning Technicians moving into project engineering work
*Electrical Construction Engineers from nuclear, defence, or heavy industry
*Individuals with strong documentation and package management experience
