Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) – Telephone Triage

Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) in a dynamic telephone triage role based at our head office in Wavertree, Liverpool. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in urgent care through direct telephone interactions, guiding patients to the appropriate care pathways.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Handle clinical call-backs efficiently from the 111 and 999 services.
*Utilise clinical judgement to direct patients to the correct care facilities.
*Collaborate with a supportive team including GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), and Clinical Coordinators.
*Manage approximately 4–6 calls per hour, ensuring high-quality care and advice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Nurse or Paramedic with a background in Urgent or Emergency care.
*Strong ability to make independent clinical decisions.
*Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
*No prescribing responsibilities are required for this role.
