Estimator & Order Processor
Witham, Essex

Assure Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting an Estimator and Order Processor on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer supplying high quality products across the UK. The purpose of this role is to provide timely and accurate quotations to new and existing customers, while efficiently processing and confirming orders in a fast-paced environment. This role involves offering dedicated support to the sales team, ensuring exceptional communication, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service is always maintained.
Key Responsibilities
*Quote & Order Management:Process customer quotations and sales orders accurately and in a timely manner.
*Technical Support:Provide expert technical knowledge regarding our products to both customers and internal staff as needed.
*Documentation & Manufacturing Liaison:Produce and annotate necessary paperwork and drawings for the manufacturing team prior to production commencement.
*Amendments & Updates:Manage amendments to existing customer orders and quotations efficiently.
*Communication & Query Resolution:Act as the primary contact for customers and suppliers regarding order updates, technical advice, and general queries.
*Follow-Ups & Confirmations:Proactively chase and confirm order details, ensuring all order confirmations are accurate and sent promptly.
*Inquiry Handling:Manage incoming inquiries efficiently, providing timely and professional responses to client requests.
*Relationship Management:Maintain strong working relationships with customers, keeping them informed throughout the entire process.
*Data Entry & Reporting:Ensure all schedules and spreadsheets are updated daily and accurately.
*Performance & Targets:Meet individual and team targets related to processing times, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Requirements
*Industry Knowledge and Software Proficiency:Proven experience working as an Estimator within the manufacturing industry, and proficiency in utilising Estimating software.
*Organizational Skills:Strong organisational abilities, a high level of attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
*Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, polite, and confident manner.
*Work Ethic:Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy, fast-paced team environment.
*Technical Literacy:Competent user of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word).
*Customer Focus:Demonstrable customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining positive customer relationships.
*Learning Agility:An eagerness to learn new products and technical details quickly.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
*Technical Drawing Experience:Experience in understanding and interpreting customer surveys, architectural drawings, or plans, including section drawings.
