Position: Business Development Manager (South)
Salary: £50,000 basic plus £80k - £100k OTE
Location: South Central - M4/M40/M3 Corridor
Clear Choice Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and highly respected organisation within the security distribution sector in the search for an experienced Business Development Manager. This is a field-based role focused on driving regional growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market share across key product brands. The successful candidate will act as the face of the business in their territory, delivering consultative sales and long-term account development.
As our new Business Development Manager in the South Central Region, you’ll be the face of the company in the field. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of customers, forge new relationships, and champion our strategic brands. With the support of our internal team, you’ll drive regional sales and help us reach new heights.
Please note: Proven experience within security distribution is absolutely essential. Applications without relevant sector experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
· Account manage existing customers and drive increased spend.
· Generate new business through outreach, in collaboration with your Internal Sales/BDE.
· Re-engage lapsed accounts and uncover new opportunities.
· Carry out a minimum of 8 customer visits per week—either independently or alongside strategic suppliers.
· Attend trade shows and quarterly sales meetings as a key regional representative.
· Keep close contact with our key Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to align on customer strategy.
· Collaborate with your internal support team on action planning, reporting, and customer insights.
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM system.
· Contribute to a team culture built on trust, performance, and integrity.
Essential Experience:
· Proven field sales experience in the Electronic security distribution industry, or a similar technical sales environment.
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
· Strong presentation abilities and a confident customer-facing approach.
· Commercial awareness and an understanding of profit-driven sales.
· Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce.
