As a Category Buyer, your responsibilities will include:
• Managing end-to-end purchasing activity including sourcing, negotiation and supplier management
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring material availability
• Monitoring, analysing and reporting supplier performance
• Supporting project requirements alongside wider functions
• Identifying cost-saving and supply chain improvement opportunities
• Conducting supplier reviews and assessing new vendors
As a Category Buyer, your experience will include:
• 3+ years in Procurement or Buying with manufacturing/engineering
• Supplier order book and supplier relationship management experience
• Knowledge of materials planning and MRP systems
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience negotiating pricing agreements and commercial terms
• Ability to summarise and communicate complex information clearly
