Are you an experienced Science Technician with a strong subject knowledge and a passion for supporting high-quality science education?
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Science Technician to join welcoming and well-resourced secondary schools across Merton on a full-time, five-days-per-week basis. The RoleAs a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department to deliver engaging and safe practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Your responsibilities will include:
*Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons

*Ensuring laboratories are safe, clean, and fully compliant with health and safety regulations

*Managing and maintaining scientific equipment and stock

*Supporting teachers during practical activities when required

*Organising and ordering resources efficiently

*Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the department

Requirements*Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a secondary school setting

*Strong subject knowledge across the sciences

*A relevant degree (preferred)

*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

*A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach

*Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a laboratory environment
