Job Description:
The Opportunity:
We are supporting a well-established consulting firm with the appointment of an experienced Financial Accountant on an interim basis. This is a key contract role covering a critical reporting period, supporting year-end, statutory reporting and audit deliverables.
The role will suit a technically strong, hands-on qualified accountant who can quickly embed into a fast-paced finance function and deliver to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
*Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP / IFRS
*Liaison with external auditors and management of audit queries
*Balance sheet reconciliations and control reviews
*Support with technical accounting papers and policy documentation
*Review and improve financial controls and reporting processes
*Partner with wider finance and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting
Candidate Profile
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*Strong technical accounting background
*Proven experience delivering statutory accounts and supporting audits
*Confident operating in a contract/interim capacity
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
*Advanced Excel skills
