Control Engineer – Days only
Salary: £50,000 per annum + overtime opportunities
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a reputable business who are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a busy maintenance team in a hands-on, technical role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with automation systems, and supporting a proactive maintenance environment.
As the Lead Control Engineer you will:
*Provide technical support for PLCs (mainly Siemens), camera systems (Keyence), and inverters.
*Assist the maintenance team with fault finding to maximise machine availability.
*Maintain accurate software backups of all PLC programs.
*Work with equipment manufacturers to implement modifications and improvements.
*Collaborate with Stores to manage stock levels and reduce obsolescence.
*Develop work instructions and train staff in basic PLC and camera troubleshooting.
What we’re looking for:
*Solid PLC experience (Siemens preferred) others are negotiable.
*Knowledge of data capture and network systems.
*Strong electrical understanding (18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND).
*Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
*Familiarity with Google Sheets/Docs or Microsoft Office equivalents.
*Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
