Job Description:
We are seeking a Director of Facilities Management to lead all facilities management activities across a significant property estate, encompassing approximately 430 buildings and 780,000m2 across all London boroughs and beyond. This role involves leading a team of approximately 20 professional facilities managers and managing an extensive supply chain of around 30 suppliers providing both hard and soft facilities management services.
*Daily Rate: £850 per day Umbrella
*Location: London, with potential work from various sites including Sidcup DA15 and a training facility in Hendon, NW9
*Job Type: Full-time
*Contract: To be confirmed
Responsibilities
*Lead the implementation of a new Facilities Management client unit following a recent external review.
*Drive the delivery of the estate strategy, aligning it with critical objectives and supporting the evolution of the transformation programme.
*Develop and oversee a comprehensive health and safety compliance regime across the Directorate.
*Ensure seamless collaboration between the Directorate and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
*Manage the performance and service delivery of the facilities management integrator, outsourced supply chain, and consultancy strategic suppliers.
*Direct budgetary and management responsibility for the Real Estate Facilities Management budget of approximately £ - £ per annum.
*Lead the preparation of revenue budget planning, monitoring, reporting, and management against the budget regularly throughout the year.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Extensive leadership and management expertise within the property sector, with in-depth knowledge of facilities management, maintenance contracts, and frameworks.
*Demonstrated success in navigating complex supply chains and multi-disciplinary teams.
*Skilled in designing, procuring, and managing commercial partnerships with major outsource suppliers.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills excelling in teamwork, collaboration, negotiation, and achieving impactful outcomes through influence.
*Possession of a relevant professional qualification such as RICS, RIBA, or CIOB.
