Job Description:
Reed Finance are working with a renowned international manufacturer to appoint a Financial Controller for one of their major UK operations. This role combines strategic influence with day-to-day financial leadership, making it ideal for someone who excels in a dynamic, production-driven environment.
As the Financial Controller, you will act as the key financial partner to the Site Director, overseeing site performance, strengthening financial processes, and contributing to long-term strategic planning.
Financial Leadership
*Take full responsibility for the site’s financial results, ensuring they align with group policies and reporting standards.
*Lead the budgeting cycle, forecasting activities, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
*Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and IFRS requirements.
*Work collaboratively with central functions including Group Accounting, Controlling, and Treasury.
Operational & Strategic Support
*Partner closely with site management to set targets and track operational and financial performance.
*Review potential investments and assess product and project profitability.
*Produce financial modelling and scenario analyses to support key commercial decisions.
*Handle tax, compliance, and administrative matters on behalf of the site where required.
Cash Flow & Risk Oversight
*Manage cash flow planning, performance monitoring, and working capital optimisation.
*Maintain effective relationships with financial institutions and support funding requirements.
*Ensure timely collection of receivables and effective management of cash resources.
Team & Performance Management
*Lead and develop the onsite finance team, fostering a culture of high performance.
*Track KPIs, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support wider business change programmes.
Technical Background
*Strong grounding in financial management, cost control, and reporting processes.
*Sound understanding of accounting standards (including IFRS), taxation, and cash-flow management.
*Experience within a manufacturing or production-focused environment is strongly advantageous.
*Confident using financial systems and analytical tools.
