Job Description:
Peterborough City Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will make timely and informed decisions to safeguard children and support families.
About the Role
As a MASH Social Worker, you will:
*Triage new referrals and assess risk
*Apply thresholds confidently and accurately
*Make timely decisions about the level of intervention required
*Work closely with partner agencies including Police, Health, Education and Housing
*Remain calm and effective under pressure
*Report to the MASH Team Managers
*Work both independently and collaboratively within the team
About the Team
The MASH team is based at Sand Martin House and works alongside key partner agencies to ensure quick and effective information sharing. The team includes a Service Manager, Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers and Children’s Advice & Information Officers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced Social Worker who thrives in a busy front-door setting and keeps children at the heart of decision-making.
Essential Requirements:
*Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
*At least 3 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services
*Social Work England Registration
*Driving license and access to own vehicle
