We’re recruiting for an experienced Claims Handler to join a growing and well-respected commercial insurance team based in Rawdon / Leeds. This is a hybrid opportunity, offering a mix of office and home working, with a competitive salary of up to £39,000 depending on experience.
You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance claims from first notification through to settlement, delivering excellent service to clients while ensuring claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
*Handle a caseload of commercial claims (e.g. property, liability, motor fleet – depending on experience)
*Manage claims from FNOL through to resolution
*Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and third parties
*Provide clear and professional communication to clients throughout the claims lifecycle
*Negotiate settlements where appropriate
*Ensure compliance with FCA and internal procedures
*Maintain accurate records and diary management
About You:
*Previous experience handling commercial insurance claims
*Strong understanding of claims processes and insurer relationships
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*Organised with the ability to manage multiple claims effectively
*Cert CII (or working towards) desirable but not essential
*Confident using Acturis or similar insurance systems (advantageous)
