ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT – MANUFACTURING
GUILDFORD – PERMANENT – GROW WITH AN EXPERIENCED FINANCE TEAM
£30,000 – £33,000 + STUDY SUPPORT
Are you an Accounts Assistant looking to deepen your experience? Do you enjoy being hands-on and involved across all areas of finance?
We’re hiring for a growing manufacturing business in Guildford that’s looking to add a reliable, detail-focused Accounts Assistant to their team. This is a broad and varied role supporting the full finance function — ideal for someone keen to develop their skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.
This is a five-day-a-week office-based role. That said, they offer genuine flexibility where needed and operate with a trust-based approach. The culture is friendly, grounded and team-oriented, and you’ll be working alongside experienced finance professionals who are excellent at what they do and invested in developing others.
WISH LIST
*Experience working within a finance team, or a strong interest in developing a long-term finance career
*Comfortable using Excel (intermediate level)
*Methodical, organised and confident working with numbers
*Keen to learn and take on responsibility
THE ROLE
*Raise and check sales orders in line with internal processes
*Send invoices and customer statements
*Process purchase invoices across group companies
*Verify supplier bank details and support query resolution
*Reconcile multiple bank accounts
*Enter warehouse receipts and update stock records in the ERP system
*File and scan documentation accurately
*Monitor shared mailboxes and respond promptly
*Support the wider finance team with day-to-day tasks
*Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives
This is a hands-on position where you’ll gain exposure across multiple areas of finance, building a strong foundation and developing practical experience in a busy but supportive setting.
YOUR PROFILE
*Effective communicator – written and verbal
*Good working knowledge of MS Excel
*Previous exposure to Microsoft Business Central or Sage 50 (helpful but not essential)
*Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
*Positive, team-focused attitude
SALARY & BENEFITS
*£30,000 – £33,000 depending on experience
