Deputy Room Leader / Senior Early Years Practitioner – FinchleyWe are currently recruiting for a Deputy Room Leader in Finchley (N3) to join a friendly and well-established preschool team. This full-time Deputy Room Leader position offers a salary of £29,000–£30,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Shifts: 7:30am–6:30pm (rotating weekly: 7:30am–4:30pm or 9:30am–6:30pm)
Contract: Full Time | Permanent | All Year Round
Not suitable for school-hours or term-time applicants
Located within walking distance of Finchley Central station, this Deputy Room Leader role is based within the preschool classroom of a nursery open all year round (except Bank Holidays and two weeks at Christmas).
About the Deputy Room Leader RoleAs a Deputy Room Leader, you will support the Room Leader in delivering high-quality early years education while helping to guide and mentor the preschool team. Deputy Room Leader Responsibilities*Promote positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
*Deliver innovative, engaging activities to support children’s learning and development
*Work collaboratively within a tight-knit team to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children
*Support key children and their families in line with EYFS principles
*Assist with room leadership responsibilities and daily organisation
About You*Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
*Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Nursery Practitioner or similar role
*Ready to step into a Deputy Room Leader or senior position
*Commitment to outdoor learning and inclusive practice
*Excellent communication skills with parents and carers
*Eligible to work in the UK
