Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Burton Safes, a small but successful company specialising in the manufacture, distribution, installation and aftersales service of physical security products. Our range of products includes everything from safes to key safes, vaults, safety deposit boxes, and ATM protection devices and we are very proud to work with customers from around the world.
Due to rapid growth, we are looking for positive, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join our friendly warehouse team.
In addition to a good basic salary, Monday-Friday hours, 20 days’ + 8 statutory days annual holiday with a time served accrual system, job specific training, pension, and free onsite parking.
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be responsible for:
*Picking and packing orders
*Loading/unloading deliveries
*Forklift truck operation (flexi and counterbalance)
*Completing stock counts and quality control checks (including reporting discrepancies)
*Fitting locks and cutting keys
*Processing stock details using the stock management system
*Checking the warehouse and equipment for health & safety risks
*Recycling waste
Experience of working in a warehouse or similar environment is beneficial, however training will be provided for the right candidate. To be successful, you must:
*Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and methodically
*Good numerical and communication skills
*Ability to work as part of a cohesive team.
*Ability to follow instructions and use initiative.
*Keyboard skills
Ideally you will also have a current driving licence and forklift licence.
Any offer of employment will be subject to an acceptable DBS check.
