Strategic Sourcing Manager - Up to £65,000 - Per Annum
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm - Leicester

Macildowie Procurement has partnered with a high growth SME in Leicester to recruit a Strategic Sourcing Manager to their ever-growing procurement function.

The key objective will be to support the Supply Chain Director in building and developing a strategic sourcing plan throughout the wider business. Tasked with sourcing across the US, you will be delivering business and Supply Chain function targets, with particular focus on Purchase Price Variance (PPV), commodity strategies and inventory management.

Main Responsibilities
*Responsible for management of strategically important commodities which includes understanding the key parts/ SKUs, cost drivers & supply chain.
*Relationship owner for supplier’s equivalent role, and escalation point for assigned strategic suppliers.
*Support the wider team to ensure supplier relationships and supplier agreements are managed for assigned strategic suppliers.
*Review spend analysis of assigned categories to identify sourcing and negotiation opportunities.
*Support the development and implementation of a clear sourcing strategy, including mitigation of risk in the supply chain, motivating/empowering people to deliver, whilst ensuring alignment with departmental and wider business goals.
*Supporting with budgeting and purchase price variance (PPV) analysis.
*Undertake and keep abreast of market research for assigned categories, demonstrating capacity and cost driver understanding for key materials and suppliers/industries.
*Forecasting provision for capacity and supply assurance and placing outline agreements and framework orders.
*Deliver and support supplier performance data capture, for your assigned categories to deliver KPI analysis and continuous improvement.
*Ensuring parts in assigned commodities and suppliers are purchased within company inventory policies and optimised delivery methods are identified and implemented.
*Champion sustainability by improving supply chain environmental practices.

The Candidate
*Demonstrated background in a global strategic sourcing procurement environment.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Commercial acumen with the ability to lead a procurement team.
*Ability to identify cost saving opportunities.
*Experience managing global procurement requirements.
*Able to travel to Leicester.
*Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
