At Reed in Partnership, we work with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support Service Leavers as they retrain and prepare for civilian employment. We are now expanding our Electrical training team and welcome applications from skilled Electricians who bring strong technical knowledge and a passion for helping people learn — even if you’ve never taught in a classroom before.

What you’ll do
As an Electrical Teacher, you will:
*Deliver hands-on, engaging Electrical Installation and Engineering training to adult learners
*Use your real-world industry knowledge to bring training to life
*Support learners as they build confidence, develop new skills, and prepare for civilian employment
*Help create and update teaching materials (with full guidance and templates provided)
*Maintain a safe and professional workshop environment
*Assist with assessments, exams, and learner support activities
*This is a role where your practical electrical experience matters more than your teaching experience. We will help you confidently transition into the education environment.
What We’re Looking For
This role requires well-rounded professional capability, combining FE teaching competence with hands-on electrician experience and assessor skills. You’ll be supported to develop all aspects of your practice.
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Relevant electrical qualifications, including Inspection & Testing and Domestic Electrical Installation.
*Experience delivering Engineering or Electrical Installation training.
*Willingness to work towards TAQA Level 3 / Assessor qualification.
*Security Clearance requirement: You must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
