£90-£120 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role We are seeking a reliable, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our welcoming secondary school in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in pre-set learning activities and maintain high standards of behaviour.
Key Responsibilities * Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 using lesson plans provided by teaching staff

* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

* Ensure a positive and productive learning environment

* Support students with their learning where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Strong communication and classroom management skills

* Confidence working with young people aged 11-16

* A degree or relevant qualification (desirable)
