Employee Relations Advisor – 2–3 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Contract: 2–3 Month FTC
Hours: Full-time
Location: Onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
About the Role
We are supporting a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for someone confident managing a wide range of ER matters and able to quickly step into a fast-paced environment.
You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality ER support to managers and employees, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on a full range of ER issues, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and informal matters.
*Lead and support with casework from end to end, ensuring timely progression and accurate documentation.
*Work with HR and operational leaders to promote best practice, policy compliance, and early resolution approaches.
*Support managers with note-taking, investigation meetings, and hearing preparation where required.
*Ensure all advice aligns with employment legislation and internal policies.
*Maintain accurate records and produce reports on ER activity and trends.
*Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen ER capability within the organisation.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running with strong ER expertise. You’ll ideally have:
*Proven experience managing a varied ER caseload.
*Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
*Confidence providing clear, pragmatic advice to managers at all levels.
*Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to stay calm and professional in pressurised or sensitive situations.
*Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
