The Role
We are seeking a skilled and committed English Teacher to join a Birmingham secondary school from March 2026. This long-term assignment involves teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering structured, engaging lessons that build analytical depth, technical accuracy and exam confidence.
You will take full responsibility for planning, marking and assessment, using progress data to inform teaching and deliver targeted intervention where required. A strong focus on GCSE outcomes and raising attainment across mixed-ability groups is essential.

The Candidate
You must hold QTS and have secure subject knowledge across the English curriculum. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confident classroom management, high expectations and the ability to engage reluctant learners while stretching high achievers. Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations and familiarity with exam board assessment objectives is highly desirable.
