Management Accountant Pickering
Up to £45,000
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Management Accountant to join their Pickering site.
The OpportunityAs Management Accountant, you will sit on the Site Leadership Team and partner closely with the Plant Director and Group Finance Director. This is far more than a reporting role — you will provide meaningful financial insight, challenge performance, and support strategic decision-making.
You will also lead a small on-site finance team and take full responsibility for financial control, reporting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities*Ownership of monthly management accounts and variance analysis
*Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
*Maintain strong financial controls and governance
*Business partner with operations to improve margins, labour efficiency, and cost performance
*Provide insight on KPIs including scrap, yield, and productivity
*Support capital expenditure appraisals and business cases
About You*ACA / ACCA / CIMA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience
*Background in manufacturing or a product-led environment
*Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to influence and challenge
*Hands-on, operationally engaged approach
*Previous experience in a site-based management accounting role
