Job Description:
Aspire People are recruiting a committed and confident Year 2 Teacher for a primary school in Salford. This is a full-time, long-term role with responsibility for guiding pupils through the end of KS1 assessment expectations.
The school has a strong leadership team, supportive teaching assistants and established planning frameworks in place. They are seeking a teacher who can drive attainment while maintaining a nurturing and engaging classroom culture.
Your Responsibilities:
Full class teaching responsibilities in Year 2.
Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum.
Preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments.
Implementing phonics and early reading strategies.
Monitoring progress and providing targeted interventions.
Working collaboratively with parallel KS1 staff.
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
QTS (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome).
Experience within KS1, ideally Year 2.
Strong phonics knowledge and assessment experience.
Effective classroom management skills.
Data-driven and confident tracking pupil progress.
Positive and proactive team member.
