The role & what you’ll be doing
Sirius Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a steel fabrication business in Pontefract, who are looking to strengthen their shopfloor team with a CNC Laser Operator.
Key responsibilities include:
*Running the CNC laser machine as efficiently as possible, aiming for factory speeds without compromising quality
*Minimising machine stoppages and downtime
*Carrying out basic quality checks by measuring parts against customer drawings
*Accurately recording quantities produced on job sheets
*Moving raw materials to and from designated storage areas, maintaining identification of offcuts
*Maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy work area
*Highlighting any health & safety concerns to the Works Manager
