Sociology Lecturer – Part-Time
Location: Shipley
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Part time (Monday – Wed)
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £180 a day


Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of learners? We’re seeking a dedicated Sociology Lecturer to join our FE curriculum team on a part-time basis. While the primary focus is Sociology, we are also happy to consider strong candidates with a Psychology background.


What you’ll do:
• Deliver high-quality, engaging Sociology lessons (Psychology specialists also encouraged to apply)
• Support learners of varied abilities to develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes
• Contribute to planning, assessment, curriculum development and quality processes
• Create an inclusive, motivating, and well-managed learning environment


What we’re looking for:
• A recognised teaching qualification and relevant subject degree
• Strong subject expertise in Sociology (Psychology considered)
• Experience teaching in FE, schools or adult education (desirable)
• A supportive, learner-centred teaching approach and commitment to continuous improvement


All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
