Job Description:
Location: Cannock
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Monday to Friday office hours, 8.30am start
Are you proactive, confident on the phone, and driven by sales success? We’re looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our growing team and play a key role in generating new business, nurturing customer relationships, and helping us achieve our revenue targets.
This is a fast-paced, commercially focused role where you will be engaging with customers via phone, email, and digital channels to build strong pipelines and convert opportunities into sales.
Key Responsibilities
*Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups.
*Engage with leads, qualify enquiries, and convert them into active customers.
*Build and develop strong relationships with an assigned portfolio of existing customers.
*Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
*Produce accurate quotations and follow up consistently until the sale is secured or closed off.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing, competitors, and market trends.
*Re-engage dormant or lapsed accounts to uncover new opportunities.
*Work within company processes and procedures, ensuring accurate information before handover to Support Teams.
*Contribute to individual and team sales targets, providing forecasts and sales reports when required.
*Support colleagues with cover during busy periods and holidays.
*Carry out additional duties as required to support the wider team.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
*Strong sales and customer service background
*Proven experience in a target-driven environment
*Confident phone manner and excellent communication skills
*Strong numeracy skills
*Highly organised with excellent time management
*Ability to follow processes and work to deadlines
*Proficient in Microsoft Outlook & Excel
*Strong negotiation skills
*Comfortable with cold calling and account management
Desirable:
*Track record of going "above and beyond"
*Experience identifying and reaching prospective customers
