This isn’t just another desk job. You’ll be right at the heart of our finance operations, making sure suppliers are paid, invoices are spot on, and the office hums along smoothly. If you like being methodical, efficient, and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to get things done properly, this could be the role for you.
You’ll be part of a growing finance team, supporting the wider business and helping keep operations seamless.
What you’ll be doing:
*Accurately inputting purchase ledger invoices onto the accounting system and matching them against purchase orders.
*Preparing and processing payments, including writing cheques and ensuring supplier accounts are up to date.
*Handling telephone calls from suppliers and internal teams in a professional and courteous manner.
*Liaising with divisional offices and other departments to resolve invoice queries or discrepancies.
*Performing general office administration tasks such as scanning, faxing, photocopying, and filing.
*Maintaining clear, organised records and ensuring compliance with internal processes.
*Assisting with month-end and other financial reporting processes where required.
*Supporting the team in improving processes and contributing ideas for efficiency and accuracy.
What do you need?
*A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a busy office or administrative environment.
*Strong data entry skills and confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
*Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
*A methodical, logical approach to tasks with attention to detail.
*Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
*Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to integrate seamlessly into an existing team.
*Previous purchase ledger experience is a bonus, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
