Job Description:
Senior Architect
Location: East Sussex
Salary: £40,000 to £46,000
An established architectural studio is looking to appoint a Senior Architect to strengthen their team in East Sussex. The team work on residential, education and healthcare projects and have a keen focus on sustainability. The role involves working closely with project teams, clients, and contractors on residential and mixed-use schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for delivering technical design packages on cladding remediation and retrofit schemes
* Develop and coordinate detailed Revit models, drawings, and technical specifications
* Ensure project designs align with the Building Safety Act 2022 and related secondary legislation
* Coordinate information from external consultants and specialist subcontractors
* Identify potential technical or regulatory risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
* Communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and relevant statutory authorities
Skills and Experience
* Qualified Architect with ARB registration
* Advanced proficiency in Revit
* Proven experience in cladding remediation, façade replacement, or building retrofit projects
* Strong technical capability with in-depth knowledge of construction detailing and risk management
* Understanding of Gateway procedures and BRPD responsibilities
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and coordination abilities
