Part-Time Finance Assistant
Market Harborough
£28,000 FTE (Pro Rata) | 22.5 Hours Per Week | Office Based | Permanent
Macildowie are working with this client based in Market Harborough within the manufacturing and construction supply sector to recruit a Part-Time Finance Assistant.

The successful candidate will join a small finance team and support the day-to-day running of the finance function, focusing primarily on transactional finance activities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a stable part-time role within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The RoleThe Finance Assistant will support the finance lead and help ensure the smooth running of core financial processes. This role will involve a broad mix of transactional finance duties and will require someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities*Processing purchase ledger invoices
*Managing sales ledger activities
*Running supplier payment runs
*Processing and reconciling staff expenses
*Supporting credit control when required
*Completing bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
*Assisting with month-end procedures
*Maintaining accurate financial records
*Liaising with internal stakeholders regarding invoice approvals and finance queries
SystemsThe finance team currently utilise:
*Sage

*Xero (particularly for expenses and related processes)

Experience with these systems would be beneficial, though candidates with experience using similar accounting systems will also be considered.
Candidate ProfileThis position would suit someone who is comfortable working within a small finance team and capable of managing their own workload.
Candidates are likely to have experience in:
*Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
*Supplier reconciliations and payment runs
*Bank reconciliations
*Supporting month-end processes
*Working within a transactional finance or accounts assistant role
Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work autonomously will be essential.
Working Pattern*22.5 hours per week

*Flexible structure available:
*3 full days, or

*4 reduced days


*Fully office-based in Market Harborough

Salary & Benefits*Up to £28,000 FTE (pro rata) depending on experience
*24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
*Office closure between Christmas and New Year
*Free on-site parking
