We are looking for an immediately available, meticulous and organised Finance Assistant to join a busy Accounting & Finance department based near Chipping Norton for a 6 month fixed-term contract. This is a transactional role that focuses on supporting financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Description
*Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
*Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
*Assist with journal postings
*Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies where necessary
*Support the month-end and year-end financial close processes
*Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
*Provide support to the Accounting & Finance team on ad hoc projects
*Maintain organised and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems
*Liaise with suppliers and internal teams confidently
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should be/have:
*Experience in a high volume, transactional role
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*Ability to work well under pressure
*An understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
*The ability to work effectively within a team environment
*Excellent communication skills
*Immediate availability (or on short notice)
